A New Ministry Partner

June 26, 2018, New York, NY -- The Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) is pleased to announce the beginning of a formal partnership with Forma—The Network for Christian Formation. ECF works with churches, dioceses and other institutions to help build and sustain transformational faith communities by providing leadership, financial, and strategic solutions, and continues to discern its mission of serving as a comprehensive and holistic resource to the wider Church. The mission of Forma is to celebrate, equip, support, and connect leaders who form followers of Jesus. In moving forward with a partnership, both organizations realize the possibility of enhancing their respective ministry goals and achieving greater impact.

ECF recognizes that the most effective lay and ordained leaders are formed disciples who have the capacity to form other followers of Jesus. In partnering with Forma, ECF looks forward to broadening its scope in the critical area of Christian formation and thereby expanding its products, tools, and resources.

Donald Romanik, President of ECF said, “We are excited to partner with Forma in our continuing efforts to share new, innovative, and mission-based ways to be the Church of the future. I believe this partnership—with ECF’s strong financial and leadership capabilities combined with Forma’s network of disciple-makers—will result in a greater impact on leadership development and the encouragement and nurture of Christian discipleship throughout the wider Church. We also hope such a relationship will be a model of collaboration and partnership for other Episcopal organizations.”

While the partnership will involve new and innovative collaborations and joint ventures, both organizations will maintain their independence, identity, and core mission. The partnership will be formally launched on July 1, 2018.
