Extending Ministry Footprint through Building Use
December 11, 2019 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EST
What steps need to be taken as you expand your ministry’s mission and enter into different arrangements that alter the way your property is being used?
Many churches are extending their ministry beyond church services. Hosting groups and events, as well as starting new types of ministries, can be a vital part of community outreach and can be a significant source of income that supports the sustainability of your ministry.
Church properties are being used for preschools, thrift stores, soup kitchens and shelters. Many are also providing sanctuary for undocumented citizens. Vestries are also adding events and leasing space that require different types of agreements.
In this webinar, Steve Follos of the Church Insurance Agency will discuss the types of extension ministries that congregations are taking part in and the actions that church leaders need to consider when adding these types of arrangements.
