How to Support ECF
ECF is a lay-led and independent organization, serving the Episcopal Church since 1949.
ECF partners with congregations, dioceses, and other faith communities, empowering them to engage in visioning and planning, develop effective lay+clergy leadership teams, and raise financial and other resources for ministry. ECF’s programs, products, and services help congregations respond to the changing needs of the Episcopal Church in the 21st century.
Through ECF’s programs lay+clergy leadership teams bring about transformation, renewal, and positive change in their communities, live out Christian stewardship, and develop new approaches to mission and ministry.
ECF’s programs support emerging leaders who will play a significant role in building the church of the future, provide practical and effective resources, tools, and models for lay and clergy leaders at all levels of the church, train and equip lay+clergy leadership teams, and support and empower the Episcopal Church’s fasted growing constituency, the Latino community.
This work is not without cost. ECF depends on generous contributions from individuals, foundations and others who care about this critical work. We hope you will make a gift that will help us continue to respond to God’s call in meaningful and lasting ways. Click here to make a contribution.
Fellowship Partners Program: ECF Fellows play a significant leadership role at all levels of the Church. They are lay and clergy innovators who revitalize faith communities, focus on new ideas and creative ministries, and share knowledge, experience, and effective practices with the wider Church. ECF awards Fellows with financial assistance, supports their continuing development throughout their careers, and builds strong, lasting networks.
Latino Engagement: To meet the specific needs of the Latino community, the Episcopal Church’s fastest growing constituency, ECF is developing comprehensive, culturally competent Spanish language programs and resources, including Spanish language content on Vital Practices, webinars, and a Spanish language version of The Vestry Resource Guide. A dedicated staff member will manage this critical work.
Vital Practices: Vital Practices is our online hub for lay and clergy leaders, vestry members, and all people of faith. It offers practical and spiritually-grounded articles, tools, and resource. Vital Practices builds online communities of Episcopalians who learn from each other and share their stories, experiences, and practices that help support and sustain ministries throughout the Church.
Vital Teams : Vital Teams strengthens lay+clergy leadership teams that are at the heart of the Episcopal Church’s many ministries. Launched in 2014, Vital Teams provides training, advocacy, and tools to help congregations identify and deploy strong team leaders.
