Meet the Staff

Kate Adams Senior Consultant 212-716-6008 kate@episcopalfoundation.org
Kate Adams joined the Foundation’s staff in January 2007 as a Senior Consultant to ECF’s Endowment Management Services. Prior to ECF, she was a Vice President with the Church Pension Group for 14 years designing and implementing new services and products for clergy, lay employees and volunteers and Church-related institutions. She specialized in creating financial planning resources/tools for individuals/institutions and in coordinating CPG’s presence at Episcopal conferences and conventions.
Prior to CPG, for 12 years she was a financial and investment consultant with the Commonfund, offering investment management services exclusively for nonprofit organizations. Among her clients was the Association of Theological Schools. In addition, she has developed fundraising resources/programs for a variety of educational, social service and cultural organizations.
She has an MBA in finance and an MSW from Fordham University; is a member of the Financial Planning Association; and is a certified social worker with NASW. She is a member of St. James’ Church in New York City and is a Stephen Lay Minister. As well, she is a consultant with the Leader to Leader Institute (formerly the Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management) to assist nonprofit organizations in utilizing the Peter A. Drucker Self-Assessment Tool.

Craig Bossi joined the Episcopal Church Foundation in January 2007 as Director of Finance & Operations, and was elected Vice President of Finance & Administration in December 2007. Prior to joining the Foundation, he served as director of financial and business planning for a satellite communications company and a computer hardware company, then spent 10 years on Wall Street as a managing director in corporate finance, specializing in technology-related mergers & acquisitions. For the past four years, he had the privilege to serve as the comptroller at The General Theological Seminary.
Craig received his B.A. from Haverford College and his MBA from Yale University.
Craig resides in New York City.

Lillie joined ECF in January, 2007 as administrative assistant and receptionist. Prior to this position she worked in the Church Deployment Office for approximately two years.
Lillie's background includes a wide range of organizations including New York University, NBC, and RCA. After graduating cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in pattern making Lillie worked for a few years in the fashion industry.
In her spare time Lillie loves to take brisk walks and enjoys sewing and designing. She takes special time to help out with special events, spends time with family and friends, and visits with her adorable granddaughter Nia in California. |

Anne Ditzler joined the Foundation’s staff in July 2006 as Special Projects Manager and was promoted to Assistant Director of Giving Serivces in August 2007. She currently focuses on capital campaign services. Anne had previously served as the Executive Director of CampuSource, providing fundraising resources to campus ministries, until CampuSource became a part of ECF’s Giving Services. From 1997-2003 Anne worked at ECF leading the Foundation’s Education Program.
Anne has worked with a number of non-profit and religious organizations in professional and volunteer capacities, particularly those serving youth and young adults. For eight years she worked with the Public Interest Research Groups (PIRG) organizing college students around environmental and consumer issues and directing door-to-door fundraising and membership campaigns.
In May 2006, Anne earned an MS in Organizational Change Management from Milano, The New School for Management and Urban Policy. She also holds an MDiv. from Union Theological Seminary and a BA from Tufts. Anne is a member of St. Mary's Manhattanville in New York City, where she also serves on the board of the New York Intern Program. Having grown up in Wisconsin Anne is still a Mid-westerner at heart, but she loves living in Long Island City, Queens. |

Matt Freeman joined the Episcopal Church Foundation in February 2006. He is the Giving Services Associate.
Matt graduated from Emerson College in 1998 with a degree in Theater. He comes to the Foundation with a background in administration and Human Resources.
He is a published playwright, theater reviewer and freelance writer. |

Lynne A. Grifo joined the Episcopal Church Foundation in March 2008 as Program Director, and her responsibilities include Vestry Papers and the ECF Fellowhsip Partners Program. Before ECF, she was Associate Coordinator for the Office for Ministry Development at the Episcopal Church Center. She served as a church-wide resource for leadership development and as staff to the Standing Commission on Ministry Development.
Urban Planning was Lynne's first vocation and she holds an M.S. in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute. Lynne served in both the public and private sectors before pursuing her M.Div. from General Theological Seminary ('90).
Lynne has served as associate rector of St. Asaph's Church, Bala Cynwyd, PA, interim rector of All Hallows, Wyncote, PA, and rector of Christ Church, West Haven, CT. On the diocesan level, she was a member of the bishop's mission strategy commission in the Diocese of PA, and served on a committee of the commission on ministry in CT.
Issues in the public square that concern Lynne aer environmental protection, human rights, and affordable housing. Her avocations include travel, photography, and art appreciation. She is an Assoicate of the Order of St. Helena. |

Nancy Grizzaffi joined the Foundation’s staff in 1993 and is their Executive Assistant. She received her BA from Lehman College and, before joining the Foundation, worked as a Registrar.
Nancy is unflaggingly cheerful and unflappable and the staff appreciates her attention as much as her two dogs do! |

Natalie Guthrie joined the Foundation's staff in September of 2003. She is the Assistant Director of Giving Services.
Natalie previously worked for the University of South Carolina in Columbia, as a development assistant for donor relations.
She is a lifelong Gamecock fan, which can be a tough job in itself.

Ursula Henriquez joined the Foundation on June 30, 2006. She was raised in The Dominican Republic; earned a BS in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The Autonomy University of Santo Domingo. In 1990 Ursula moved to New York City in 1990 and attended Baruch College. She also attended The School of Languages at Hunter College to study English as Second Language. Ursula has both Commercial and not-for profit Accounting experience. |

Barbara L. Holliman is Director of Holliman Capital Campaigns. She was the founder and CEO of Holliman Associates, Inc. With years of development and public relations experience, Barbara has successfully managed multi-million dollar capital and endowment campaigns for churches, schools, dioceses and community organizations throughout the United States and in Europe. She is a frequent speaker on fundraising methodologies, presenting to both national and international audiences.
She and Glenn Holliman are founders of The Academy for Episcopal Philanthropy and are co-authors of With Generous Hearts, a highly acclaimed manual on fundraising in the Episcopal Church. |

Glenn Holliman joined the Foundation's staff in July 2005 to expand its previous Philanthropic Services program, now Giving Services. In addition to planned giving and investment management services, the Foundation now provides capital campaign and annual giving consulting to Episcopal churches, dioceses, schools and other agencies.
Prior to coming to the Foundation Glenn was president of Holliman Associates, Inc. where he directed capital campaign and annual giving drives for independent schools, Episcopal dioceses, churches and other not-for-profit agencies. He was one of the first full-time directors of planned giving in the Episcopal Church, and has worked closely with the national Episcopal Church's Department of Stewardship, Episcopal Relief and Development, the Episcopal Church Foundation, the National Association of Episcopal Schools, The Anglican Observer to the UN, the Episcopal Society for Ministry in Higher Education, and Jerusalem 2000. Glenn has counseled hundreds of Episcopalians on planned giving options through the decades.
Glenn earned his B.A. from Tennessee Tech, and his M.A. in history from the University of Tennessee. He is co-author with Barbara Holliman of With Generous Hearts and author of The Complete Planned Giving Guide.
Glenn is an army veteran, has done social work in Brooklyn and civil rights work in Tennessee. He was an independent day and boarding school head and assistant head. When he's not on his farm with his wife, Glenn enjoys traveling in England. |

Rebecca McDonald joined ECF in September 2004 and is the Director of Marketing. She comes with a strong background in advertising and marketing, with stints at such noted firms as Young & Rubicam, Grace & Rothschild, and Grey Advertising.
Rebecca was also a Program Director at the Albert G. Oliver Program, which places inner-city students in independent schools. She worked with St. Luke's Saturday School for 8 years and is a board member and teacher at Luna Rosa, teaching creative writing to women inmates at New York area prisons.
She received her BA in English from Colby College, Waterville, ME, and her MFA in Creative Writing from New York University. Rebecca lives in Brooklyn where many trees grow. |

Kelly Mistick joined ECF in July 2006 as Administrative Assistant and was quickly promoted to Program Associate. Kelly previously worked as Project Coordinator for the Anglican delegation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2005 with a BA in International Relations. |

Ken Quigley joined the Episcopal Church Foundation's staff in July 2005. He is the Director of Endowment Services. He is responsible for customer service and account management for the endowment/permanent funds invested through the program as well as marketing and setting up new accounts.
Prior to joining the Foundation staff, Ken was president and CEO of the Continuum International Publishing Group (North America) which has offices in London, New York, Harrisburg and Denver. He had led The Morehouse Group, a publisher serving the Episcopal Church, from 1995 through its acquisition by Continuum in 2002, when he became head of Continuum's U.S. operation.
During his tenure at Morehouse the company nearly tripled its annual sales through acquisitions and growth.
Ken started his own marketing, advertising, public relations company in 1977 and has served the communication needs of many agencies of the Episcopal Church over the years including Episcopal Relief and Development, the United Thank Offering, the Treasurer's Office of the Episcopal Church, and many more.
Ken earned a Bachelors degree from Kalamazoo College and is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. Currently he serves on the boards of the Children's Medical Mission of Haiti (working with the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti) and the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. |

Donald Romanik is President of the Episcopal Church Foundation. He was formerly Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs for The Connecticut Institute for the Blind/Oak Hill, a charitable organization that operates residential, vocational and educational programs for persons with disabilities, including blindness and mental retardation, at over 100 locations throughout Connecticut. Mr. Romanik was an attorney with the Hartford law firm of Shipman & Goodwin, an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Hartford and Legislative Attorney for the Connecticut General Assembly. Mr. Romanik served as Chairperson of the Parish Committee of Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal) in Hartford, Connecticut (Senior Warden) and as Chairperson of the Spanish Language Ministries Committee for the Diocese of Connecticut.
He has been active in a variety of tax-exempt civic, charitable and religious organizations and was a former member and President of the Hartford Board of Education. Mr. Romanik is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College in Hartford and earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. He is married to Margaret Felton Romanik and has two children. |

Maurice Seaton joined the Foundation's staff in June 2002 and is the Associate Director of Giving Services.
Born and raised in South Africa, Maurice has a Masters degree in Public Policy from New York University. He was a diplomat for South Africa for ten years and first came to New York City assigned to represent South Africa at the United Nations.
Maurice has been an active member of several Anglican congregations in South Africa, and is now a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Callicoon, New York, two hours northwest of New York City. |

Audra Treleaven joined the Foundation's staff in December of 2001 and was promoted to the position of Controller in January 2008 (this is the most recent of several well earned promotions during her tenure at ECF). Audra was raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela and earned a BS in Marketing from Cunibe College. She moved to New York City in 1993 and explored a variety of professional options. She graduated from Baruch College with a BS in Accounting and is now working on her MBA at Hofstra University which she expects to complete in May 2008.
In her spare time, Audra enjoys running, swimming, and reading. |
