CGA Rates Change July 1, 2011
The rates used for charitable gift annuities (CGA) are changing on July 1, 2011. On the whole, rates will be dropping slightly for each age, so individuals who are considering creating a CGA may wish to set one up before the changes take effect. From time to time the national organization that sets these rates, the American Council for Gift Annuities (ACGA) reviews a number of variables including updated life expectencies statistics, diversified investment returns, and other factors that impact annuity rates and the anticipated 50% remainder value. If you or someone you know would like to take advantage of the currently higher rates, please encourage them to fill out the CGA application here. All applications and related materials must be received at ECF by June 24, 2011 to receive the current rates. To review both the current and the new rates effective July 1st, please click here. If you have any questions or need assistance with anything, please contact Jim Murphy at 800-697-2858 or email him. |
