January 15, 2010, New York -- This week, ECF President Donald V. Romanik joined Gathering of Leaders membership at the Solomon Episcopal Conference Center in Loranger, LA.  The theme of the meeting was "Entrepreneurial Leadership for the Missionary Church."

Bringing together transformational Episcopal leadership from across the Church, Gathering of Leaders members include bishops, priests, and lay leaders who provide mutual support, share ideas, and reflect on the spiritual and leadership challenges of ministry today.  Their mission is to assist in the empowerment, support, and development of future generations of Episcopal leadership.

Reflecting upon the experience, Romanik noted, "It was really energizing spending time with clergy who were committed to mission and optimistic about the future of the Church."

Members attended presentations that focused on entrepreneurial leadership in the Church, participated in round table discussions, and joined small group meetings. leaving the Gathering with individual action plans.

Gathering of Leaders will continue to convene throughout 2010, with the next meeting to be held Daylesford Abbey in Paili, PA in April.
