Through a partnership with the Diocese of Spokane, Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation, and ECF Fellow Devon Anderson, ECF particpated in a leadership training project, Organizing for Mission (OFM), last January.  Leaders from Christ Church in Zillah, WA also particpated in the program.  Utilizing tools such as The Public Narrative and community organizing techniques, particpants learn how to effectively lead volunteer teams to engage in mission.

Although Christ Church is an extremely small congregation, its members are deeply commited to local and global mission work.  In addition to donating money and volunteer time to hunger ministries, Christ Church is partnering with local ecumenical organizations to respond to the needs of those impacted by a catastrophic fire on February 12, in White Swan, WA.

As a result of the work Christ Church is doing, Episcopal Relief & Development is providing support during the initial phase of their response to the White Swan fire.  To learn more about how Episcopal Relief & Development is working with Christ Church, click here.
