ECF Fellowship Partners Program 2011 Application Deadline
03/01/11

March 1, 2011, New York, NY -- The 2011 application deadline for ECF’s Fellowship Partners Program is March 15, 2011.

ECF awards Fellowships for both academic and transformational ministries, and enables Fellows to share their knowledge, experience, and best practices with the wider Church in practical ways. The emphasis is on partnerships that will have important impact in their local communities and beyond. Both lay and clergy are invited to apply.

“For more than 45 years ECF has provided financial support to lay and clergy scholars, teachers, innovators, and other leaders who are making a difference in the Church and the world,” said Donald V. Romanik, President of ECF. “We are enormously proud of our ECF Fellows and the incredible work they do.”

In 2010 fellowships were awarded to Elizabeth Anderson, the Rev. Rosa Lindahl Mallow, and the Rev. Altagracia Perez. Liza Anderson is a doctoral student at Yale University where she focuses on the ancient and medieval history of Christianity in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The Rev. Rosa Lindahl Mallow is leading a project titled, “Identity, Voice and Witness: Ministry in a Post Parish Culture,” which hopes to ease the growing problem of parishes spending more time struggling to stay open than engaging in transformational ministry. The Rev. Altagracia Perez is in a Ph.D. program at Claremont University School of Theology where her field is Practical Theology, with an emphasis in Christian education.

"ECF is thrilled to support the next generation of scholars and transformational leaders in the Episcopal Church," noted Anne Ditzler, ECF Senior Program Director. "ECF Fellows are having a major impact on this Church – as thought leaders, innovators, and as visionaries of the future of the Episcopal Church."

New awards will range up to $15,000 and may be renewable for an additional two years. New Fellows will be announced in May, 2011.
