Since 1843, St. James' Episcopal Church has been a worshipping community in Downington, PA.  Its members strive to live out the good news of God in Jesus Christ in their lives, but are also commited to being full and active particpants in the Downington community.

Some of St. James' outreach activities include the St. James Thrift Shop, whose proceeds help suppoert low income individuals and families, Lord's Pantry of Downington, which served more than 8,000 people last year, St. James Apartments, a subsidized rental property for seniors, and a pre-school.

St. James' has partnered with ECF and recently kicked off its capital campaign.  They hope to raise $340,000 which will enable them to 1) upagrade their electrical system; 2) create parking and walkways to improve pedestrian safety aruond the church; 3) provide for handicapped accessibility in and around the church; and 4) enhance the worship space.
