ECF Fellow, the Rev. Susan Richardson (2008), who is rector at Grace-St. Paul's in Mercerville, NJ, recently wrote about the welcome video created by Grace-St. Paul's on ECF Vital Practices:

"When Grace-St. Paul's Church in Mercerville, NJ, decided to create a video welcoming seekers who came to the website, we decided the best way was to get straight to the point: Members would say "I am...." and then add one or two words that suggested the real life, and the real life of faith, that lay behind the words. Halfway through the video, we switch to "You are....," suggesting the range of inclusivity embraced by the parish, and leaving it open for the seeker to come along and "fill in their own blank." The nicest part? - finding the wonderful music of Tara Ward, Church of the Beloved in Washington State, using her version of "Amazing Grace" to pick up on the theme of grace, in the church's name and in the people there."
