ECF Fellowship Partners Program Call for 2010 Applications
ECF awards Fellowships for both academic and transformational ministries, and enables Fellows to share their knowledge, experience, and best practices with the wider Church in practical ways. The emphasis is on partnerships that will have important impact in their local communities and beyond. Both lay and clergy are invited to apply. “For more than 40 years ECF has provided financial support to emerging lay and clergy innovators who are revitalizing Episcopal communities of faith,” said Donald V. Romanik, President of ECF. “As a group, these individuals continue to impact the Church in profound ways and are invaluable gift and resource.” In 2009, the fellowships were awarded to Paul P. Clever, the Rev. Kathryn L. Reinhard, and the Rev. Edward E. Thompson. Paul P. Clever founded and runs the Good Earth Hunger Mission in "Through disciplines of praying, preaching, teaching, serving, and learning, ECF Fellows are not only living out their own vocations," noted Anne Ditzler, ECF Senior Program Director, when she announced the 2009 Fellows, "but they are creating ways for others to see, know, and follow Christ." New awards will range up to $15,000 and may be renewable for an additional two years. New Fellows will be announced in May, 2010.
