Rebuild Our Church in Haitii: Psalms for Haiti
01/06/12

Two years ago -- January 12, 2010

“Psalms for Haiti” is an ecumenical celebration of music and meditation to commemorate those who died, and support those struggling to rebuild in the aftermath of the earthquake. This liturgical resource is available in English and French on Rebuild Our Church in Haiti website.

In Geneva Switzerland, “Psalms for Haiti” was initiated by Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, St Germain Old Catholic Church, and the Geneva Reformed Church. The Swiss Association anglicane pour la reconstruction de la Cathédrale épiscopalienne de la Sainte Trinité en Haïti (ARCH), facilitates the transparent collection and transfer of funds raised by events such as this.

Thanks to every individual, congregation, diocese and Episcopal organization that is participating in Rebuild Our Church in Haiti.

Rebuild Our Church in Haiti is a national grass roots effort launched on the first anniversary of the magnitude seven earthquake that decimated Haiti in 2010. The appeal was authorized by Executive Council in response to the request from Bishop Jean Zaché Duracin and the people of Haiti to help rebuild Holy Trinity Cathedral in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. For more information, visit http://www.episcopalchurch.org/haitiappealor contact Terri Mathes at mailto:tmathes@episcopalfoundation.orgor 717-599-0627.
