In response to challenges posed to the economy, the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA) has instituted changes in rates for new charitable gift annuities (CGAs).

While these rate changes will not affect the annuity rates of current CGAs, those planning to create a new CGA should expect a decline of 0.5% to 0.8%, for individuals who are older than 60 years old, as of January 1, 2012.

Current annuity rates will be available only until December 31, 2011. If you or any of your donors would like to create a new CGA using a current rate, please contact Michelle Jackson at 800-697-2858 or email her by December 21, 2011 so that we can process your illustration and application before the end of the current year.
