The Episcopal Church Foundation's Financial Resources area currently has two positions available: Program Director and Program Associate. ECF's Leadership Resources and Communications area is also hiring an Assistant Program Director position. PROGRAM DIRECTOR- ENDOWMENT MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS (EMS)

General Purpose of the Position:
The Program Director for EMS has significant shared responsibility for ECF’s Endowment Management Solutions program subject to the supervision of the Managing Program Director for Financial Resources and the oversight of the Senior Program Director for EMS.

Supervisory and Other Contacts:
The Program Director for EMS reports to the Managing Program Director for Financial Resources with programmatic oversight from the Senior Program Director for EMS and works closely and collaboratively with other program, administrative and external affairs staff, financial vendors and leaders of Episcopal dioceses, parishes, and other entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides consultation and assistance to parishes, dioceses and other Episcopal organizations in the areas of visioning, organizing, structuring and investing endowments and other permanent funds.
  2. Works closely with the Senior Program Director for EMS in the promotion and marketing of EMS and related services to Episcopal dioceses, parishes and other institutions.
  3. Provides high-level customer service and support to EMS clients and directs routine requests for information, reports and other services to other designated ECF staff.
  4. Assists in the creation, processing and documentation of new accounts.
  5. Assists clients in the identification and selection of appropriate EMS programs, products and services without providing investment advice.
  6. Maintains regular contact with financial and other appropriate vendor institutions.
  7. Works with other program staff to ensure that EMS is integrated with other ECF programs, products and services.
  8. Presents at or participates in seminars, workshops and webinars.
  9. Serves on interdisciplinary program/administrative teams and represents ECF at functions and events as assigned.
  10. Keeps current on matters relating to investments, endowments, planned giving and stewardship.
  11. Works collaboratively and collegially with other designated staff in the exercise of all these duties and responsibilities.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Five of more years of relevant experience in the areas of investments, account management, sales, marketing, business development, customer relations and product development
  • Relevant work experience with nonprofits and managing volunteers
  • General knowledge of fundraising
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and on teams
  • Ability to travel and drive
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility, dependability and reliability
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Episcopal Church and faith based organizations preferred

PROGRAM ASSOCIATE - CONSTITUENT RELATIONS/FINANCIAL RESOURCES
(This is a Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Position)

General Purpose of the Position:
The Program Associate provides technical and administrative support to a variety of ECF functions and programs, including, but not limited to, Financial Resources, Development, and Marketing and Communications, especially in the critical areas of database management through Raiser’s Edge, constituent communications, document development and dissemination and the preparation and maintenance of reports, files and other information.

Supervisory and Other Contacts:
The Program Associate reports to the Managing Program Director-Financial Resources and works closely and collaboratively with the Assistant Program Director-Financial Resources, Director of Development, other program and administrative staff as well as financial organizations, vendors, agents, donors, constituents and individuals from Episcopal dioceses, parishes, and other entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides technical assistance and administrative support to all of ECF’s Financial Resources (endowment management, life income gifts, donor advised funds and other special donor gifts) in collaboration with and as a backup to the Assistant Program Director by responding to requests for information, processing gifts and deposits, engaging in confidential client/constituent contact and appropriate follow up, and preparing/maintaining related correspondence and filings.
  2. Provides technical assistance and administrative support to the Director of Development in the areas of database administration, data analysis, processing online donations, list maintenance, preparation for external mailings, processing in-house mailings, maintaining donor records, donor research and profiles, proofreading, editing, copying and mailing preparation.
  3. Oversees the maintenance and integrity of all of ECF’s constituent/client/donor databases through Raiser’s Edge in coordination with other staff, including data migration and clean-up, de-duping records, standardizing data entry protocols, creating new records, updating existing records, input tracking, exports/report creation and related functions.
  4. Interacts regularly with financial institutions, vendors, agents and representatives from dioceses, parishes and other Episcopal entities.
  5. Provides information to constituents/clients/donors, as requested, and directs them to appropriate resources and staff as needed.
  6. Assists in the administrative tasks associated with meetings, webinars, workshops and other ECF events.
  7. Assists in other office functions including answering telephones and receiving guests.
  8. Assists in the production and generation of blogs, newsletters, social media, bulletins and related material in collaboration with the Communications Coordinator.
  9. Works collaboratively and collegially with other designated staff in the exercise of these duties and responsibilities.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with Raiser’s Edge and multiple software and social media applications.
  • Experience with customer relations and client services.
  • Familiarity with financial products and services as well as fundraising and development.
  • Vocational or volunteer experience with nonprofits desirable.
  • Knowledge of Episcopal Church or other faith based institutions desirable.

Skills and Abilities:
Diligent; detail oriented and capable of coordinating several time-sensitive tasks; excellent customer service; meeting deadlines and coordinating priorities; demonstrated experience with databases, spreadsheets, use of the internet and social media; high degree of accuracy and attention to details; superior written and spoken communication skills

Salary range: 40-45K

Assistant Program Director for Leadership Resources and Communications

General Purpose of the Position:
The Assistant Program Director supports the Leadership Resources and Communications team in its broad and exciting portfolio of programs and projects with particular responsibilities in the monthly production cycle of ECF’s online publication Vital Practices (www.ecfvp.org), project management for program specific communications, the planning of online and onsite events, and program impact measurement. This position is based at ECF’s New York office.

Supervisory and Other Contacts:
The Assistant Program Director reports to the Managing Program Director for Leadership Resources and Communications and works closely with the other staff, especially the Communications Coordinator and the Program Director for Leadership Resources. The Assistant Program Director does not have direct supervisory responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Leadership Resources and Communications in all areas including ECF Vital Practices (www.ecfvp.org), the Fellowship Partners Program, educational events and partnerships, the Vital Teams initiative, the Vestry Resource Guide, Spanish language initiatives, as well as general ECF communications and program-specific communications.
2. Has significant responsibility in the monthly production cycle of ECF Vital Practices, the development of program-specific communications, the realization of online and onsite events, and program impact measurement.
3. Interacts with ECF constituents and outside vendors and contractors.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● 1-3 years of relevant experience
● Bachelor’s degree
● Ability and enjoyment in working on a collaborative, results-driven team
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Technically proficient, detail-oriented, with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
● Familiarity with database systems, ideally Raiser’s Edge
● Computer skills including Microsoft Office, website content management systems, email marketing systems
● Familiarity with best practices on social media platforms
● Knowledge of the Episcopal Church or other faith based organizations preferred but not required
● Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred but not required
● Basic working knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time position with benefits pursuant to ECF’s policies and a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000 depending on experience.
