Project Resource Conference 2017

Registration is now open for the Project Resource Conference on May 9-11, 2017, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Atlanta, Georgia. This three-day conference will train teams from participating dioceses in the art and science of raising money, raising people, and developing planning and communications that support these initiatives. The aim of Project Resource is to change the culture of resource development in our Church to be more fruitful for God’s mission.

The Project Resource training provides practical and effective tools for diocesan teams to return from this training to their home dioceses equipped to teach church leaders best practices of stewardship. Spiritually grounded with opportunities for shared learning, Project Resource seeks to mobilize your diocesan team to make God's mission possible. Donald V. Romanik, President of ECF stated, “An innovative and collaborative venture, Project Resource seeks to completely revolutionize the way we understand stewardship and philanthropy in the Episcopal Church."

Diocesan teams made up of one or more bishops and an accompanying team of at least two lay leaders and two clergy are welcome to register. Larger teams are welcome and bringing the person responsible for diocesan communications, when possible, is encouraged. The attending teams will master the Project Resource materials and design the rollout of the materials for their diocese, setting measurable goals and outcomes. With these tools and goals, the teams will return to their diocese with an adult-teaching program that imparts effective leadership skills to lay leaders and clergy. These new leaders will assist the diocese in increasing parish and diocesan financial and human resources for all sizes and sorts of churches through God's mission.

Project Resource continues to develop as a collaborative project between multiple Episcopal institutions. Episcopal Church Foundation, in partnership with The College for Bishops and The Development Office of the Episcopal Church, is a sponsor of Project Resource.
