Program Assistant - Financial Resources (Part Time)

About ECF:

ECF seeks to effectively respond to the growing demographic of Spanish-speaking members in the Episcopal Church.

General Purpose of the Position:
Under the direction and supervision of the Managing Program Director, the Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support for ECF’s Financial Resources work primarily for Endowment Management Solutions (EMS), and occasionally for planned giving, life income gifts and capital campaigns.
Supervisory and Other Contacts:
The Program Assistant reports to the Managing Program Director and works closely and collaboratively with the other program staff, financial vendors, donors and individuals from Episcopal dioceses, parishes, and other entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative and programmatic support for EMS including responding to information requests; customer service and support; tracking client status; creating and maintaining financial reports, forms and spreadsheets; addressing ongoing client needs and concerns and preparing/maintaining related correspondence and filing.
  • Supports EMS administration in processing monthly statements, sub-accounts and other tracking and reporting mechanisms.
  • Coordinates production of EMS proposal documents with other staff and vendors.
  • Directs and informs Episcopal constituents on the availability, use and implementation of the full array of Financial Resources and other ECF programs especially those relating to planned giving.
  • Creates, maintains and distributes various databases, documents, files and reports both electronically and in paper format.
  • Assists in the production of newsletters, bulletins, blogs and related materials, including social media.
  • Works collaboratively and collegially with other designated staff in the exercise of these duties and responsibilities.
  • Assists in the administrative and programmatic support of other Financial Resources programs on an as-needed basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent is preferred
  • Knowledge of investments and planned gifts preferred
  • Knowledge of the Episcopal Church is helpful

Skills and Abilities:
Candidates should be diligent, detail oriented and capable of coordinating several time-sensitive tasks while maintaining excellent customer service and meet deadlines and coordinate priorities along with experience with databases, spreadsheets and use of the internet and social media. Candidates should also have superior written and spoken communication skills
